Terms of service

Who provides Riluno

Your agreement is with Hossein Bagherzadegan, a natural person in Berlin, Germany, trading in their own name — not with a company. German law applies. Full provider details are on the Impressum, which also states what is still missing from them.

What Riluno is

Riluno is a short-video service built around finite, intent-led sessions: you choose what you came for, receive a bounded set, and can see why each video appeared. There is no endless default feed.

Eligibility

You must be 16 or older to use Riluno. That is the age at which German law lets a person agree to an online service without a parent, and Riluno does not accept accounts below it. The same age is stated in the privacy notice, and it has to stay the same in both places — a service that promises one age in its terms and applies another to your data has misled you in one of the two documents.

Riluno is open to anyone who meets the minimum age. There is no invite list, no waiting list, and no country restriction beyond the ones the app stores themselves apply.

Content you upload

You keep ownership of what you upload. You grant Riluno the rights needed to store, process, and display it within the service. The licence you grant is limited to what running the service actually requires: to store your video, to make the technical copies needed to deliver it (including a pinned copy used for safety review and copies held by the storage and delivery providers named in the privacy notice), to extract still frames for the safety check, to show it to moderators, and to display it to viewers inside Riluno. It is non-exclusive, worldwide because delivery is, and royalty-free. It carries no right to sub-licence your video to anyone else, to use it in advertising or promotion, or to train a model on it. It lasts only as long as Riluno holds the video: when you delete your account or the video, the licence ends with it, save for copies the law requires Riluno to keep and backups that cannot be edited and expire on their own schedule. That exception is described under your data rights.

Every upload is checked before it can be published. This is a property of the system rather than a policy statement: media cannot become publicly visible unless that exact version holds a current affirmative safety decision. Content suspected of child sexual abuse or non-consensual intimate imagery is quarantined and cannot be published, edited back into circulation, or appealed through the ordinary path.

What you may not do

Moderation and account restriction

Riluno may restrict or remove content and may restrict or end an account.

Account restriction is not built. The mechanism that would end an account’s active sessions is written but nothing invokes it, so this describes an intention rather than a capability. Signing out ends your own session immediately, and that does work — on the website and in the app.

If a decision goes against you, you are told what it was and on what ground, and you may appeal it. Enforcement and appeals is the page that governs this: it sets out who decides, in what time, and what happens next. An appeal is read by a person, never by the automated check.

Subscriptions and payment

No subscription or payment exists today. Riluno accepts no money and stores no payment details.

A subscription is planned. The terms below are published in advance so that nothing about the arrangement is first explained at the moment you are asked to pay. They take effect only when the subscription is actually offered in the app; until then this section describes a future contract, not a current one.

What it buys. A subscription switches off advertising and adds the features described on the purchase screen at the time. It does not change how sessions work: a session still ends where you said it would. Riluno does not sell a longer or unlimited session, because that is the one thing this product exists not to do.

Price, period and renewal. The price and billing period are shown on the purchase screen before you buy, and the App Store or Google Play shows them again at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel, and it is charged by the store, not by Riluno.

Cancelling. You may cancel at any time, and cancelling is not harder than subscribing was. Because payment is handled by the store, cancellation happens in your Apple or Google account settings; Riluno links you there directly from the app rather than describing where to look. Cancelling stops the next charge — the period you have already paid for runs to its end, and advertising stays off until it does.

Refunds. Refunds are issued by Apple or Google under their own policies, because they took the payment. Riluno cannot refund a store purchase and will not pretend otherwise; where Riluno is at fault, we will say so to the store on your behalf.

Price changes. A price increase applies only to periods after it is announced, and you will be told before it takes effect and given the chance to cancel first. A price change is never applied retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

Statutory withdrawal. Consumer withdrawal rights under EU and German law are unaffected by anything in this section.

Ending your account

You can request account and data deletion at any time, from the web or from within the app.

Liability and warranties

Riluno is provided as it is, without any warranty that it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited: Riluno is liable without limit for injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, under the Produkthaftungsgesetz, and where a guarantee has been given. For ordinary negligence Riluno is liable only where it breaches an obligation whose fulfilment makes performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may reasonably rely (a Kardinalpflicht), and then only for damage that is foreseeable and typical for this kind of contract. Riluno is not liable for content another person uploads — the routes for acting on that are the report control in the app and the addresses in the Impressum. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this section.

Governing law

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer resident in the EU, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your own country, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence. Riluno’s place of business is Berlin, Germany.
